Mark Allen & Company is seeking to hire a PR Account Executive with 2-3 years experience to work on fast-paced corporate and business-to-business accounts from our Union Square office.

You will be working directly for the firm’s founder, who ran two national weekly magazines, Life & Style Weekly and OK! Magazine, and was the VP Communications of MTV Networks’ online division.

Seeking candidates who love pitching the media, writing and conducting research. The person will be required to handle a wide variety of responsibilities, including:

- Writing press materials, including byline articles, blog posts, background materials, etc.
- Pitching business and technology media in TV, print, radio, and online, etc.
- Blog outreach
- Social media outreach/campaign development
- Developing press lists using Cision
- Research
- Administrative tasks

Qualified candidates must have a strong track record of writing and communications skills, an ability to work independently under minimal supervision and an upbeat personality.

We are looking for fast learners and self-starters who will thrive in a start-up environment. You must also be able to work long hours and respond to requests over the weekend!

Skills required include: PhotoShop, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress.
